The Modin Collection from our brand sets a new standard for vinyl flooring with its impressive 40 mil (1.0 mm) wear layer made of thick, clear virgin PVC that covers the paper print-film. This is the most crucial specification when determining the durability and longevity of vinyl floors. Tones of golden oak and walnut, with sparse knots, create a more traditional palette that balances the design.

Wider and longer planks are a hallmark of the Modin Collection, designed to be 9 inches wide and 72 inches long. This extra-large size allows the gorgeous designs to be fully expressed, more accurately mimicking the look of high-end plank flooring. To ensure the long planks do not result in repeating patterns, we developed proprietary extra-long designs that replicate the seamless appearance of actual wood floors.

Further enhancing the realistic aesthetic, the Modin Collection features an Embossed in Register (EIR) texture, where the physical surface of the plank matches the actual print-film design. This creates a much more authentic feel, easily fooling even experts into believing they are looking at real wood. The deeper bevels also help accentuate the large size of the planks, a desirable feature on high-end wood flooring that we have successfully replicated.

Addressing the common issues with traditional vinyl floors, the Modin Collection features a Rigid Stone Composite (SPC) core. By using up to 70% limestone content, we have created a uniquely "rigid" property that significantly reduces expansion and contraction, even in spaces that reach temperatures up to 115°F. This allows the Modin planks to be safely recommended for virtually any application, supporting runs of up to 70 feet without the need for transitions.

Additional features of the Modin Collection include a pre-attached 1.5 mm IXPE foam underlayment for sound control and temperature insulation, as well as a waterproof and scratch-resistant coating that helps the floor maintain its appearance for longer. Our products are also LEED-qualified, with zero or negligible formaldehyde and VOC emissions, made from a high percentage of recycled/recyclable synthetic materials, and audited by reputable third-parties.
